The Ian Martin Group is recruiting a Geophysical Processing and Imaging Specialist on behalf of Raise for a contract engagement in the United States. You will lead seismic processing stages, build velocity models, and contribute to full-wavefield imaging projects.

You will collaborate with geoscientists and computational scientists to develop new workflows and algorithms, guiding vendor-led processing and delivering high-quality results. U.S. work authorization required.

Formación

• MS or PhD in Geoscience, Geophysics, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline
• 10+ years hands-on seismic processing and imaging experience in the oil & gas sector
• Strong background in signal processing including streamer, OBN, and land seismic data
• Extensive velocity model building experience including Full Waveform Inversion and advanced imaging
• Experience in multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Right to work in the USA

Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and lead all stages of seismic processing including signal processing, velocity model building, depth imaging, and full wavefield inversion.
• Conduct analysis, recognize issues, support the formulation of new and innovative workflows and methods to resolve problems, and ensure optimal quality of results.
• Work with a broad range of Geoscientists to devise technical solutions to meet business objectives.
• Work with research geophysicists and computational scientists to deliver new seismic processing technologies and algorithms.
• Direct and influence vendor-leveraged processing projects.

Skills and Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Geoscience, Geophysics, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline
• 10+ years of hands‑on seismic processing and imaging experience within the Oil and Gas industry, with a proven track record of technical problem‑solving and innovation
• Strong background in signal processing that may include streamer, Ocean Bottom Node (OBN), and land seismic data.
• Extensive experience in velocity model building, including Full Waveform Inversion, as well as advanced imaging techniques.
• multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Right to work in the USA

Preferred Knowledge and Experience

• Hands‑on experience in OBN and land data processing.
• Experience in processing 4D seismic datasets.
• Strong knowledge of seismic acquisition techniques and methodologies.
• Fundamentalunderstanding of quantitative interpretationand geophysical analysis of seismic data.
• Skilled in working withinHigh Performance Computing (HPC) environments and programming (Python, Bash)
