Job summary

Tolunay-Wong Engineers, Inc. (TWE) is seeking applicants for a Geophysical Technician, Level I, in the Field Services Division, based out of Houston, Texas.

The role involves testing and inspection of soils, concrete and pile monitoring, with training provided for both experienced and inexperienced candidates. Responsibilities include handling field equipment, performing geophysical exploration, ensuring data integrity, and reporting findings to management.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write in English.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Hold a Texas Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record.
• Able to physically perform duties in various weather.
• Able to lift heavy equipment.
• Willing to travel frequently.
• Willing to learn and take initiative.
• Maintain professional customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Physically complete labor-intensive projects assigned by the manager.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of all field equipment and operations.
• Monitor performance of equipment and identify maintenance needs.
• Perform geophysical exploration fieldwork with the necessary equipment.
• Analyze geophysical findings and identify issues and resolutions.
• Maintain data integrity and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Report data findings to managers during meetings.
• Assist with other duties such as drilling operations and logging.
• Complete daily reports, safety paperwork, and inspections.
• Attend safety meetings and follow safety programs.
• Keep a clean, organized work area and equipment.
• Submit all paperwork daily.
