Job summary

T. Baker Smith, LLC seeks Project Technicians with survey and drafting experience to support our Thibodaux team. You will work with Professional Surveyors and technicians, prepare drawings, and assist project teams across various survey and mapping projects.

Qualified candidates have an associate degree in drafting/design or a geomatics degree, plus proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, InRoads, or OpenRoads, and show strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting and Design or Bachelor degree in Geomatics (as listed).
• Proven experience in survey and mapping.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, InRoads, or OpenRoads.
• Self-motivation and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience working with Professional Surveyors and technicians.
• Calculating, analyzing, organizing, coordinating, and researching information, preparing drawings, and aiding in tasks necessary to complete the project.
• Ability to team up with our surveyors to prepare and discuss drawings and project specifications and details for a variety of survey and mapping projects.
• Providing technical support for project teams.
• To help in any area necessary to get the work completed according to the project schedule.
• Assist other project teams or departments with technical, field, or other duties as needed or requested.
