Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. (VHB) seeks a Geomatics Crew Chief to lead our Princeton and Manasquan, NJ offices.

You will supervise the geomatics team, plan fieldwork, ensure safety and accuracy, and coordinate with project teams on boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and related surveys. The role requires hands-on expertise with GNSS and total stations, strong math and drawing-reading skills, and proven leadership for on-site field operations and data processing.

Qualifications

• Experience with surveying equipment (GPS, total stations, reality capture).
• Proficiency with survey/reality capture software.
• Strong geomatics math knowledge and field data collection methods.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Supervise geomatics/survey crew members.
• Guide workflow to meet budget and schedule.
• Plan workflows for various geomatics projects.
• Oversee field surveys (boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, etc.).
• Analyze public records and documents for projects.
• Manage data collection systems and equipment.
• Ensure accurate layout/measurement of land surfaces.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles.
• Communicate with the public as needed.
• Document field notes and reports.
