Job summary

Fervo Energy seeks a Geology Intern to contribute to subsurface modeling and data integration for Cape Station development. You will analyze well logs, seismic and other datasets to inform reservoir concepts and prospect evaluation.

You will work alongside geoscience and operations teams, develop skills in Petrel and LeapFrog, and present results to leadership at the end of the 12-week program. Remote-friendly, with potential for future opportunities.

Qualifications

• Rising Senior, Master's candidate wrapping up within the next year, or PhD candidate — pipeline toward full-time offers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to stakeholders and leadership
• Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and adapt quickly to new challenges
• Ability to work independently
• Willingness and ability to collaborate in a remote working environment

Responsibilities

• Analyze subsurface datasets to inform acreage development strategy and operational decisions
• Participate in active drilling and completions operations at the Cape Station development
• Build skillsets in geoscience applications such as Petrel and LeapFrog
• Provide recommendations to a broader team to influence future development
