Job summary

EQT Corporation invites a Geology Intern to participate in a 12-week paid internship in the Pittsburgh or Houston area. You will work alongside EQT's geoscientists to support development planning, drilling, reservoir characterization, and subsurface opportunities.

The internship emphasizes hands-on learning with ownership of technical projects, data analysis, and cross-team communication. A Master’s degree pursuit in Geology or related fields and a strong GPA are required, with a hybrid schedule

Qualifications

Pursuing a Master's degree in Geology, Geoscience, Geological Engineering, or related field.
Strong interest in applied geology and subsurface interpretation.
Coursework in stratigraphy, sedimentology, structural geology, petroleum geology, or petrophysics is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with datasets.

Responsibilities

Work with geologists to evaluate subsurface questions and develop interpretations.
Assist with development and operations geology, including well planning and post-well evaluations.
Analyze well logs, drilling information, and subsurface datasets to identify geologic trends.
Develop maps, cross sections, and stratigraphic correlations.
Communicate findings to the Geology Team and stakeholders.
