Job summary

Metropolitan Community College is seeking temporary faculty to teach geology courses at multiple campuses. Instructors will develop and deliver course content, prepare syllabi, assign grades, and engage students through effective instruction.

Temporary faculty must maintain required credentials and may be assigned up to workload limits per semester, with responsibilities including grading, meetings, and documentation as required by MCC policies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Geology or Master’s degree in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in Geology or Geology-related fields.
• Experience teaching in a community college setting is preferred.
• Ability to develop instructional materials and deliver courses effectively.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned geology courses and related activities.
• Prepare syllabi and course materials following college procedures.
• Assess student learning and provide feedback.
• Maintain credentials as required by accrediting agencies.
• Meet scheduled classes and communicate with students in a timely manner.
