Job summary

Technical Professionals Group, LLC seeks a Core Technician to support the geology department in Marana, AZ. You will handle, process, and sample drill core, cut core with saws, and maintain QA/QC across the workflow.

The role requires good communication, the ability to lift 50 lb, basic data entry skills, and a safety-focused mindset. MSHA certification is preferred and will be obtained within the first days of employment.

Qualifications

• Interest in geology and mine operations.
• Good communication, literacy and numeracy abilities.
• MSHA certification preferred and obtainable within 3 days of employment.
• Experience with digital data entry and using tablets/computers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb core boxes safely.

Responsibilities

• Handle and move drill core boxes and pallets using pallet jack or forklift.
• Photograph drill core and perform QA/QC, labeling and sorting images.
• Assist with core cutting using wet saw and maintain logs and lab forms.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper PPE in warehouse and prep area.
• Operate forklift per training and coordinate with geologists and technicians.
• Support field team and other duties as assigned.
