Tarleton State University invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor - Geology in the Department of Chemistry, Geosciences & Physics. Qualifications

Earned master's degree in Geology or a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Preferred: earned doctorate/terminal degree in Geology or closely related field with 18 graduate hours in teaching.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, seminars, and laboratory offerings for undergrad and/or grad students.
Develop course syllabi, select instructional materials, and design assessments.
Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and evaluate outcomes.
Engage students in active learning and foster critical thinking.
Provide academic guidance through office hours and mentoring.
Adhere to university policies and accreditation requirements.
Incorporate innovative teaching methods and technologies.
