Job summary

Ur-Energy Inc. is seeking a Staff Geologist to join the Geology team in Casper, Wyoming.

You will collect and evaluate geologic data, help oversee exploration and development drilling activities, and contribute to geologic evaluations of ISR uranium projects. The role requires a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in geological sciences and 1–2 years of experience, with strong GIS skills and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in geological sciences or related field.
  • 1–2 years of professional experience; ISR uranium geology preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage data collection.
  • Strong computer skills and GIS experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead field tasks for exploration and development drilling, collecting and interpreting logs.
  • QA/QC on field data collection.
  • Conduct stratigraphic correlation using logs to evaluate geology.
  • Plan drill-hole locations and project logistics.
  • Develop geologic models and interpretations using GIS and other software.
  • Map mineral trends and assist in mineral resource estimates.
  • Collaborate with geologists and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Prepare reports and maintain records.
  • Operate safely and follow environmental practices.
  • Interface with management, contractors, vendors, and government agencies.
