Job summary

Arcadis seeks a Staff Geologist to join our mining service delivery team in Salt Lake City, UT. The role blends field and office work, with 25–40% in the field and opportunities for mentorship and professional growth.

You will work with engineers, project managers, and technical experts on environmental assessment, design, and remediation projects, ensuring safety and quality in all activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, or closely related field.
• 4+ years of geology, geochemistry, or engineering field experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute site investigations and remediation tasks with PMs and TMs.
• Oversee field activities including drilling, groundwater sampling, and well installation.
• Coordinate laboratory testing programs for environmental and mining projects.
• Prepare reports, cost estimates, H&S plans, and regulatory reviews.
• Support bench-scale and pilot studies with calculations and testing plans.
• Manage project tasks, budgets, subcontractors, and client communications.
• Collaborate with engineers and geologists to develop practical solutions.
• Mentor junior staff through technical guidance and field training.
