Tetra Tech is seeking a Geologist to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA, handling environmental site investigations and remediation projects for industrial, commercial, and government sites.

You will conduct fieldwork, collect soil and groundwater samples, prepare maps and reports, and contribute to Phase I ESAs under various regulatory programs. Hybrid work options may be available; travel across the region is common.

Formación

• B.S. degree in Geology or related field with 1–5 years of experience.
• Demonstrated ability in field data collection, analysis, and technical writing.
• Experience in environmental consulting or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication/interpersonal skills are a must.

Responsabilidades

• Perform field activities including drilling and logging, sampling environmental media and wastes, monitoring well installations, Phase I ESAs, and data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
• Prepare maps, charts, boring logs, and cross-sections depicting subsurface conditions.
• Use standard office software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Perform field testing using equipment and instrumentation.
• Prepare field reports, internal correspondence, sections of final reports, and regulatory reporting.
• Oversee subcontractors and / or other company employees in the field.
• Prepare health and safety plans / job hazard analyses and follow company / site safety standards.
