Job description

Geologist, Environmental Scientist, or Environmental Engineer

Property Solutions Inc., a leader in environmental and engineering consulting services, is seeking to add multiple Geologists, Environmental Scientists, and Environmental Engineers to our team. Our scientists work on diverse projects such as Phase II Subsurface Investigations, Vapor Intrusion Investigations, Site Investigations/Remedial Investigations, and developing Remedial Action Workplans and implementing remedial actions.

Responsibilities

1. Perform and oversee subsurface investigations, UST closures, and remediation activities.
2. Coordinate subcontractors including drillers, geophysical consultants, remediation contractors, and laboratories.
3. Manage field activities and report preparation.
4. Collect environmental samples (soil, groundwater, soil gas, indoor air, surface water, sediment) following sampling protocols.
5. Document field activities accurately, including notes, logs, photographs, and GPS coordinates.
6. Interpret analytical data and prepare summaries and data tables.
7. Prepare technical reports for clients and regulatory agencies such as NJDEP, NYSDEC, and PADEP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental science, engineering, or related field.
• At least two years of experience in sampling, well installation oversight, and Phase II investigation reports.
• Experience with data submission, NJDEP regulations, and working knowledge of local sampling procedures.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification and current 8-hour refresher.
• Excellent communication skills, resourcefulness, and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to travel across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and nationally as needed.
