Job summary

RTX, based in the United States, seeks a GEOINT Technical Field Support Specialist for Fort Meade, MD. The role involves Linux systems administration, software maintenance, and customer-focused support for classified programs.

Responsibilities include provisioning and hardening RHEL systems, automating tasks with Ansible, and collaborating with co-contractors and customers to ensure secure, reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance required prior to start date.
• DoD 8570.1 IAT II or IAM I certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, CAP).
• Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• 3+ years Linux Systems Administration experience.
• STEM degree with 5+ years of related experience or advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provision, install, configure, operate, and maintain Linux systems for classified programs.
• Maintain enterprise Linux environment including security hardening and performance monitoring.
• Manage RHEL, KVM, and related distributions; apply STIGs per DoD standards.
• Automate tasks with Ansible and Bash scripting.
• Provide 24x7 support and customer-facing service delivery.
