Job summary

Castalia Systems is seeking a GEOINT Analyst, Mid, to support the NGA in St. Louis. The role focuses on delivering integrated GEOINT and supporting the Analysis Directorate with expert data and metadata development.

The candidate will provide geospatial technical expertise, contribute to data standards, and collaborate with NSG and contractors to improve data exchange and interoperability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of analysis experience in a related labor category.
• Bachelor's degree in a field related to the labor category is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of geospatial software suites including ERDAS IMAGINE, ArcMap, ArcView, FalconView, and Socet Set.
• Proficiency in XML, XML Schema (XSD), and XSL.
• Knowledge of NGA data formats: vector data, shapefiles, spatial databases, GML, XML.
• Familiarity with Intelink database.
• Understanding NGA products such as CBIs, TLMs, DTED, SRTM, NTM, DNC, DVOF, etc.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive technical reports with textual and graphic content.

Responsibilities

• Provide geospatial expertise to standards documents and national meetings.
• Offer SME input on metadata and XML schema implementations.
• Collaborate with NSG to develop and refine an NSG metadata foundation.
• Create scripts to automate metadata file generation.
• Contribute knowledge on data standards, modeling, and schema development.
• Work with government contractors and GIS vendors to improve data exchange.
• Assist with interpretation of extraction guidance and metadata concepts with national partners.
• Support SF Foundation data production efforts using GIS knowledge.
• Leverage ArcGIS Defense Solutions to validate translations between standards.
• Assist with NGA QAC developments and related meetings; coordinate across sites.
