Job summary

Chenega Services and Federal Solutions, LLC., a Chenega Professional Services’ company, seeks a Genomics Laboratory Manager to oversee the logistics, operations, safety, and technical readiness of the Center for Genome Sciences laboratories.

This key personnel role manages daily genomic, biosurveillance, and systems biology laboratory operations; supports next-generation sequencing and multi-omics research; maintains regulatory and biosafety compliance; trains personnel; coordinates equipment

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in molecular biology or closely related field.
• Experience managing a biological research lab and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of genomic, biosurveillance, and systems biology labs.
• Support NGS workflows on Illumina and Oxford Nanopore platforms.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and biosafety practices across the center.
• Train staff on laboratory SOPs, safety, and protocol execution.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, calibration, and supply chain management.
• Prepare monthly reports on operational status and procurement.
