Job summary

Moser Consulting in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable AWS-based data pipelines across cloud and on-premises environments, delivering end-to-end data solutions for genomics workloads.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement best practices, and lead pipeline projects using Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, and Terraform, with a focus on low latency, high throughput, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing and building AWS-based data pipelines end-to-end.
• Experience with HPC clusters is a must.
• Dimensional modeling, SCDs, and medallion architecture.
• Cloud experience with AWS preferred; Lambda, S3, Docker exposure.
• RBAC and secure access control implementations.
• Strong Python for ETL/ELT pipelines and data tooling.
• SQL and Python data tooling for large, complex datasets (batch/streaming).
• REST APIs for data integration; CI/CD with modern DevOps tooling.

Responsibilities

• Participate in team stand-ups and agile ceremonies to drive delivery.
• Build and maintain data pipelines from diverse sources (databases, flat-files, REST APIs).
• Apply design patterns and best practices across workloads.
• Support data modeling efforts and semantic layers for analytics.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures, performance, data quality, and capacity issues.
