Job summary

Wayne State University’s Oncology department seeks a Bioinformatics Research Analyst to support a cancer genomic epidemiology program at the Detroit campus. You will develop reproducible workflows for large-scale genomic data and perform statistical genetics analyses under the PI’s direction.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in a quantitative field and have hands-on experience with genomic data, Unix/Linux, and scripting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistical Genetics, Genetic Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Data Science, or related quantitative field.
• 1 year of job-related experience in genomic data analysis or related field.
• Experience with large-scale genomic datasets and reproducible workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide computational and analytic support for cancer genomic epidemiology research.
• Develop and execute reproducible workflows for large-scale genomic and multi-omic data.
• Perform statistical genetics analyses and interpret results for publications.
