Job summary

Thecentermemphis seeks a Scientist to be part of Dr. Jonathan Yen's lab in Memphis, Tennessee. This position focuses on developing genome editing strategies with the goal of treating sickle cell disease.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in hematopoietic stem cells and genome editing technologies, with opportunities to work on critical projects impacting patients globally. Candidates should possess a relevant bachelor's degree, with higher degrees preferred, and significant post-degree experience in research.

Qualifications

• Eight years of relevant post-degree work experience required with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Six years of relevant post-degree work experience required with a Master’s degree.
• Three years of relevant post-degree work experience required with a PhD.

Responsibilities

• Perform studies to develop genome editing strategies for human hematopoietic stem cells.
• Design and execute IND-enabling experiments for genome-edited HSC products.
• Characterize efficacy, safety, and potency of cellular drug products.
