Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Coastal Charleston, SC invites applications for a Genitourinary Pathologist. This tenure-track faculty role offers an academic environment with a busy GU service, participation in the Prostate and GU Cancer Care Team, and collaborations across the Hollings Cancer Center.

Responsibilities include handling biopsies and resections, general surgical pathology, and frozen sections, plus teaching medical students and residents.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree with pathology training.
• Board certification by the American Board of Pathology in AP or AP/CP.
• Subspecialty training in genitourinary pathology is preferred.
• Eligibility for South Carolina medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Participates in busy genitourinary pathology service with GU Cancer Care Team.
• Works with biopsy and resection specimens in general surgical pathology.
• Covers general frozen section services.
• Shares general surgical pathology call.
• Instructs medical students and trains residents and fellows.
• Engages in the academic mission of Hollings Cancer Center and related programs.
