Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC, seeks a Genitourinary Pathologist to join a premier, high-volume GU pathology service within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The role involves handling both biopsy and resections and collaborating with the Prostate and Genitourinary Cancer Care Team at Hollings Cancer Center.

Ideal candidates hold an MD/DO with ABP in Anatomic Pathology and subspecialty GU pathology training or experience, with eligibility

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent degree required.
• Board certification by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology required.
• Subspecialty training and/or experience in genitourinary pathology is preferred.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in South Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a very busy genitourinary pathology service with the Prostate and Genitourinary Cancer Care Team.
• Work with biopsy and resection specimens in addition to general surgical pathology.
• Cover general frozen section services and share call with the team.
• Instruct medical students and participate in pathology residency/fellowship training.
• Contribute to academic mission of Hollings Cancer Center through teaching and research.
