SLUCare Physician Group, a member of SSM Health, is seeking applicants for a Clinical Biochemical Geneticist position in the Division of Medical Genetics, Department of Pediatrics. The appointment is anticipated at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor, with rank and salary dependent on qualifications and experience.

Requirements include ABMG active candidate status or certification as a Biochemical Geneticist. Responsibilities encompass clinical care, medical education, and administrative duties. The metabolic team includes physicians, a genetic counselor, a dedicated nurse, and a clinical dietician. The division offers inpatient and outpatient services at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, other hospitals, and outreach clinics, under the direction of Stephen R. Braddock, MD. It provides prenatal genetic services in collaboration with the Maternal Fetal Medicine Division. Faculty are involved in clinical and molecular genetics research. Diagnostic laboratories for cytogenetics, molecular, and biochemical genetics are available onsite. The role offers teaching opportunities at both medical student and postgraduate levels, with an interest in academic achievement in clinical genetics preferred. The institution supports foreign visa holders, green card holders, and US citizens.
