Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field is required.
• One year of professional biologist experience is required; master’s degree can substitute for experience.
• Knowledge of sampling techniques for multiple taxa and field conditions in Alaska is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate genetics sample collection and maintain sample integrity for statewide projects.
• Plan sampling, standardize procedures, and train field staff.
• Track tissue collections and maintain tissue archives and metadata.
