Job summary

Responsibilities

• As Sampling Coordinator and Archive Curator for the Gene Conservation Laboratory, coordinates genetics sample collection and maintains sample archives for fish, invertebrate, aquatic plant, and wildlife projects statewide.
• Coordinates and plans sample collections, designs standard procedures, and provides training for field staff.
• Maintains metadata and oversees import/export of archive samples and long-term preservation methods.
• Prepares proposals for archival upgrades and works with a team of geneticists, biologists, technicians, and agency staff.
