Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) through ABGC or ABMG.
• Active Montana Genetic Counselor license and any additional state licenses as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide genetic counseling in clinic and outreach settings.
• Collect and interpret medical, family, and psychosocial histories.
• Coordinate and interpret genetic testing.
• Educate patients on risks, recurrence, and testing options.
• Document all care in the EMR and produce counseling reports.
• Deliver genetics education and develop patient materials.
• Connect families with appropriate resources.
• Participate in research and uphold all ethical and regulatory standards.
