Job summary

Temple University Health System invites applications for a full-time Genetic Counselor Manager within the Department of Clinical Genetics at Fox Chase Cancer Center. The role focuses on hiring, retention and development of the genetic counseling staff while continuing to provide expert genetic counseling and care coordination to patients.

Leadership responsibilities will account for about half of the workload.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an ABGC accredited Genetic Counseling program.
• 8-10+ years experience as a cancer genetic counselor.
• 10+ years experience with HIPAA and patient privacy practices.
• 3 years experience in management of genetic counseling services (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead hiring, retention and development of genetic counselors and assistants.
• Provide genetic counseling services and care coordination to patients.
• Balance leadership/administrative duties (about 50% of effort).
