Job description

Genesys Developer
Our client is seeking a skilled Genesys Developer to support the enhancement and optimization of their cloud-based customer engagement platform. This role involves flow development across multiple interaction types, including voice, SMS, chat, and email, as well as integration and automation support to improve the user experience within a dynamic contact center environment.

This role is fully remote.

Genesys Developer Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain interaction flows in Genesys Cloud CX Architect for voice, digital messaging (web/SMS), and other communication channels.
  • Implement and refine automated workflows using features like ACD call routing, IVR, and chatbot technologies.
  • Utilize best practices to develop and optimize speech recognition and natural language understanding (NLU) capabilities.
  • Integrate third-party APIs using Genesys data actions and secure authentication methods (API token, OAuth, etc.).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define requirements and deliver enhancements for contact center operations.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and deploy Architect flows across development and production environments.
  • Configure and support interactions across SMS, email, and chatbot channels.
  • Provide insight into best practices for chatbot design and user interaction strategies.
  • Support occasional consultative efforts related to design planning and platform improvements.

Genesys Developer Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Genesys Cloud CX Architect.
  • At least 5 years of experience working within contact center operations.
  • Proficient in IVR and call flow components such as DTMF, dynamic actions, text-to-speech, and audio menus.
  • Skilled in using REST APIs and JSON-based services for data retrieval and posting within Genesys.
  • Experience with environment migrations (e.g., from DEV to PROD) within the Genesys ecosystem.
  • Working knowledge of chatbot frameworks and integration, including Google Dialog Flow or similar tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and testing abilities within the Genesys platform.
  • Familiarity with SMS, email, and digital messaging workflows.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Genesys WFO and exposure to Avaya Aura Unified Communications.
