Job summary

Genesis Healthcare Glenwood Center is seeking an experienced Nurse Instructor to lead the CNA training program and mentor future nursing assistants. You will plan, teach, and coordinate curriculum while supervising student performance to ensure high-quality care.

A current RN license and BLS/ CPR per state requirements are essential, with 2+ years of clinical experience, including 1–2 years in long-term care. Join us under new leadership and benefit from a $7,500 retention bonus.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure.
• Two years full-time or equivalent clinical experience; one to two years in long-term care/geriatric nursing.
• Must complete a course focused on teaching adult students and have experience teaching adults or supervising nurse aides.
• CPR certification required per State Specific Requirements; BLS current.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, teach and coordinate the certified nursing assistant training program.
• Supervise, monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing assistant students.
• Direct and/or assist in development and implementation of nurse aide training program orientation/mentoring.
• Round in all patient/resident care areas to ensure quality nursing assistant services are being rendered.
• Nurse Instructor responsibilities in alignment with facility goals and regulatory requirements.

• Must complete a course that focuses on teaching adult students, have experience in teaching adult students or supervising nurse aides (State or Regulatory Agency requirements may vary).
• Must maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS).
• CPR certification required per State Specific Requirements.
