Job summary

PowerChampions seeks a Generator Technician Level 3 (Lead Technician) to lead senior field service, perform expert diagnostics, and mentor junior technicians on site. You’ll coordinate with dispatch and parts logistics and act as the customer’s trusted advisor while enforcing OSHA and NFPA safety standards.

You’ll bridge technicians and management, leading startups and training customers on system operations, while ensuring quality work and documentation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience servicing generators, ATS, and switchgear.
• Expert troubleshooting and repair of generator systems.
• Experience mentoring or supervising technicians.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and customer engagement skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet DOT requirements.
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate complex projects.

PowerChampions is seeking a Generator Technician Level 3 (Lead Technician) to serve as a senior field resource, providing expert troubleshooting, complex repairs, and on-site leadership. In this role, you’ll not only perform technical work but also mentor junior technicians, coordinate with dispatch and parts logistics, and act as the customer’s trusted advisor. As a Lead Technician, you’ll serve as both a technical expert and a field leader, bridging the gap between service technicians and department management.

What you'll do

• Expert Troubleshooting & Repairs: Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on engines, alternators, ATS, switchgear, and control systems.
• Planned Maintenance Oversight: Lead major planned maintenance projects, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Commissioning & Startups: Lead system startups, program controllers, and provide training to customers on system operations.
• Field Leadership: Mentor and train Level 1 and Level 2 Technicians; serve as a point of escalation for technical questions.
• Quality Control: Ensure work is completed to OEM and company standards; verify documentation accuracy.
• Coordination: Work with scheduling, dispatch, and parts teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Customer Relations: Serve as a lead point of contact in the field, ensuring customer trust, satisfaction, and repeat business.
• Safety Leadership: Enforce OSHA and NFPA safety standards on all jobsites.

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience servicing generators, ATS, and switchgear.
• Mastery of generator system troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience mentoring or supervising other technicians.
