Job Description:

The Field Generator Technician will install, repair, and perform routine and preventative maintenance on backup power systems for telecommunication companies, local businesses, and emergency service personnel.

Salary:

Salary ranges from $25 to $35 per hour based on experience as a generator technician. Guaranteed 40 hours per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on commercial generators
• Diagnose and troubleshoot generator issues
• Stay updated on different models and technologies
• Assess and recommend repairs
• Provide excellent customer service
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Minimum age of 25
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Mechanical background; experience with generator mechanics is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Understanding of the role and its impact on business objectives
• Adherence to company policies and safeguarding assets
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol tests
• Computer literacy, especially in MS Office Suite

• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, and twist regularly
• Flexibility to work varied hours, travel, and stay overnight as needed
• Professional appearance and safe work practices
• Strong troubleshooting skills and basic shop equipment operation
