Job summary

Butler Machinery is hiring a Generator Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair agricultural equipment across multiple North Dakota locations. The role offers a full-time schedule with overtime potential and a strong benefits package.

Candidates should have mechanical aptitude, be able to lift up to 70 lbs, and be willing to travel to Butler and customer sites as needed. Valid work authorization in the U.S. is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on agriculture equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshooting hydraulics, electrical, powertrains and diesel systems.
  • Overtime available at 1.5x for hours over 8/day.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Work independently and as part of a high performing team.

Full-Time Technician Pay Scale: $32.73/hr-$53.03/hr, DOE. (+$2.00/hour Differential for Field Technician Pay)

Responsibilities Of a Generator Technician
  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on agriculture equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshooting capabilities within all diesel technology systems and componentry. For example: Hydraulics, electrical, power trains, etc.
  • Opportunity for overtime as workload dictates (anything over 8 hours a day is paid at 1.5x your hourly rate)
  • Proactively maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Work independently and as part of a high performing team
  • Committed to lifelong learning and training to stay ahead of industry standards and product updates
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs
