Job summary

Butler Machinery is hiring a Generator Technician to service and repair agriculture equipment at multiple North Dakota locations. The role emphasizes diagnostics, safe work practices, and a collaborative team environment. You will frequently troubleshoot hydraulics, electrical and power train systems and may travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Overtime paid at 1.5x when workload dictates.
• Proactively maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Work independently and as part of a high performing team.
• Travel to Butler and customer locations as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.

Full-Time Technician Pay Scale: $32.73/hr-$53.03/hr, DOE.

Responsibilities Of a Generator Technician

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on agriculture equipment and systems.
• Troubleshooting capabilities within all diesel technology systems and componentry. For example: Hydraulics, electrical, power trains, etc.
• Opportunity for overtime as workload dictates (anything over 8 hours a day is paid at 1.5x your hourly rate)
• Proactively maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Work independently and as part of a high performing team
• Committed to lifelong learning and training to stay ahead of industry standards and product updates
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs
• Opportunity to travel to other Butler and customer locations
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications That Match a Generator Technician Career

• Proficient computer technology skills

• Preferred ability to meet and maintain insurability standards to drive a company vehicle
