Job summary

Baseline Employerco Llc is seeking a skilled technical technician to repair, troubleshoot, and maintain natural gas generators on-site in Utah. You will handle run-time systems, perform preventative maintenance, and diagnose electrical and control issues to ensure reliable power output.

The role requires hands-on experience with generator components, the ability to work nights/weekends, and a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to pass a background and drug screen.
• General knowledge of job safety and production flow in a shop environment.
• Electrical/generator troubleshooting & repair.
• Engine overhaul is a plus.
• Systematic troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must have own hand tools (company provides specialty tools).
• Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Repair, troubleshoot, maintain, and be responsible for run time, mechanical, and electrical systems of natural gas generators.
• Preventative maintenance on generators (5.7L to 21.9L in engine size). Basic maintenance items include: Monthly oil change, spark plug change, oil and air filters; Overhead valve adjustments; Checking batteries; Washing of radiators; Load bank testing.
• Repair and maintenance of engine and electrical system components: Natural Gas Engine fuel systems; Cooling systems; Air injection systems (turbochargers, manifolds, etc.); Generator control panel troubleshooting; Generator ends: diagnose 480V electrical output, check diodes, replace/tune automatic voltage regulators.
• Maintain fit-for-duty status for each shift.
• Maintain a Safety-first culture that always ensures the protection and safety of Baseline employees and customers.
• Conduct work in accordance with company, customer, and industry safety standards to maintain an accident-free workplace.
• Communicate professionally, efficiently, and frequently with customers when issues arise.
