Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services is seeking a Production Technician to assemble and test custom diesel and natural gas generator systems. You will read blueprints and specifications, install mechanical and electrical components, and perform testing to ensure quality and reliability.

This hands-on role spans mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel systems, offering growth in a team-driven manufacturing environment and opportunities to advance into leadership roles.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Minimum two years of mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, assembly, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, and assembly specifications.
• Assemble custom generator systems per design requirements.
• Install mechanical, electrical, fuel, exhaust, cooling, and support system components.
• Verify parts and materials against work orders and drawings.
• Measure components with calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
• Align components manually or with lifting equipment.
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly using hand and power tools.
• Set and verify tolerances and clearances to specifications.
• Conduct testing and inspections to verify performance.
• Complete QC documentation and labor tracking.
• Identify safety or production concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team to meet production schedules.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
