Generator Supercenter, Inc. is seeking a dependable Generator Mechanic / Service Technician to join the field team in Oklahoma City and surrounding areas.

This full-time role involves traveling to customer sites, diagnosing and repairing whole-home standby generators, and providing expert service with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has 1+ years of generator or related mechanical/electrical experience, reads schematics, and can work independently in the field.

• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.

Responsibilities

• Travel to residential job sites using a company-provided service vehicle.
• Perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and repairs on whole-home standby generators.
• Troubleshoot and service mechanical and electrical components, including ATS systems.
• Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Clearly communicate with customers regarding services performed and any recommendations.
• Accurately document all work in our service management software.
• Follow safety protocols and industry best practices when working around electricity.
• Support emergency service calls during weather-related outages or storms, as needed.

We are hiring a dependable and skilled Generator Mechanic / Service Technician to join our growing team. This field-based role is ideal for candidates with mechanical and electrical repair experience—particularly with small engines, standby generators, or automatic transfer switches (ATS).

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to residential job sites using a company-provided service vehicle
• Perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and repairs on whole-home standby generators
• Troubleshoot and service mechanical and electrical components, including ATS systems
• Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Physically able to perform job duties, including climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working in outdoor environments
• Familiarity with residential generator systems and ATS technology is a plus

Position Details:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (occasional flexibility required for emergencies)
• Job Type: Full-time
• Compensation: Based on experience and skill level
• Travel: Local/regional service calls using a company-provided vehicle
