Job summary

Generator One in Northeastern Ohio is hiring an Installation Technician to join the installation team. You will install, connect, and test generators, transfer switches, and electrical services, measuring and bending wire as needed, with company tools and vehicles provided.

Responsibilities include assisting lead technicians, ensuring clean job sites, and maintaining safety while meeting client expectations in residential and small commercial installations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift and move up to 80 pounds.
• Electrical or gas piping knowledge preferred.
• Comfortable entering attics and crawl spaces while working.
• Professional interaction with clients in private residences.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

• Inspect electrical systems to determine repair needs.
• Replace conduit and wiring as needed.
• Complete special projects and other related duties.

About this position

Description:

We are in search of a self-motivated individual to join our installation team as an Installation Technician. This role is crucial in ensuring our customers receive reliable and efficient generator installations. Therefore, a solid understanding of either electrical or gas piping is a prerequisite. You will be responsible for installing, connecting, and testing generators, automatic transfer switches, electrical services, and other equipment. You will be required to measure, cut and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools. Installation crews maintain company provided tools, vehicles, and equipment, which the company provides. Clearly and concisely documenting all work completed on an iPad.

Job Duties

• Assist lead technician with daily installations and repairs of electrical systems.
• Work closely with the lead technician to ensure that work is completed and job site is clean.

Pay

The starting rate is $20.00 - 30.00, based on experience, plus monthly commission opportunities.
