Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical/Generator/diesel knowledge is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
• Licenses/certifications as required by local/state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and services on generator sets of various makes/models.
• Inspects, services, and conducts start-up load bank tests on equipment.
• Troubleshoots engines and generator components (alternators, wiring, safety devices, batteries).
• Uses engine tech skills for inspection, disassembly, diagnosis and tests.
• Identifies failure causes through troubleshooting and inspection of parts.
• Communicates findings clearly to customers and documents service reports.
• Maintains vehicle, tools, and safety equipment; travels within local counties.
• Responds to emergency service calls and on-call duties as required.
