JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Object: The Residential Generator Electrician position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining generators. The role involves working according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems to support customer goals. Responsibilities/Duties

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Diagnose system malfunctions and locate issues using test equipment and tools.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Work on residential and commercial new installations and remodeling jobs.
• Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and compliance issues.
• Test electrical systems and circuit continuity.
• Perform final connections and document work with photos and detailed work orders.
• Communicate effectively via company phone, apps, and email.

Essential Functions

• Perform diversified duties to install and maintain facilities.
• Provide emergency and scheduled repairs.
• Perform service and maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Read manuals and work orders, diagnose problems, and replace or repair parts.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and use various tools and equipment.
• Report faults and maintain safety standards.
• Take before and after photos of services.
• Manage work documentation and vehicle condition reports.
• Maintain good attendance and proper time recording.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Work is performed in various environments, often outdoors, with exposure to dust, fumes, noise. Physically active role requiring standing, walking, lifting over 75 pounds, and good vision.

Position & Travel

Full-time, with on-call rotations and travel expected (company vehicle provided).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Electrical Journeyman experience
• Generator and Installer Certifications
• High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant apprenticeship or experience

Additional Requirements

• Strong background in at least two skills from electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, flooring, carpentry, locks.
• Own hand tools, pass drug screen and background check.
