Job summary

Mercor is seeking experienced music producers and audio engineers to evaluate generative music AI models in partnership with a leading AI lab. You will assess AI-generated music across genres and rate it to detailed standards, working in Swedish and English.

Start date is immediate. Duration is up to 6 months with around 20 hours per week; there is no cap. The role emphasizes meticulous listening, critical analysis, and clear labeling of musical characteristics.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native Swedish; able to follow English instructions.
• 2+ years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer.
• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening.

Responsibilities

• Compare AI-generated songs head-to-head on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality.
• Label songs by genre, structure, instruments, vocals, and other musical characteristics.
• Review AI-generated lyrics and vocals against reference material for quality and accuracy.
