Job summary

GALLS, LLC is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer to design, build, and operate secure generative AI solutions in collaboration with a third-party AI contractor. You will work on LLM apps, RAG pipelines, and the cloud infrastructure that supports them, while also serving as AI trainer across the organization.

Your role includes designing architectures, developing prompts, ensuring security/compliance, and educating employees on responsible AI use.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS, Engineering, Data Science or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM/API solutions.
• Experience with embeddings, vector databases and retrieval strategies.
• Strong prompt engineering and model evaluation skills.
• Proficiency in Python or Java with REST APIs/SDKs.
• Experience with Azure, Terraform and containerized workloads.

Responsibilities

• Design and build generative AI solutions, incl. chat assistants and RAG apps.
• Create RAG pipelines with ingestion, chunking, embeddings, and vector search.
• Develop prompts, evaluate model quality, latency, and ROI.
• Build and deploy code in Python or Java; containerize solutions.
• Monitor AI workloads and ensure cost control and performance.
