Job DescriptionA leading aerospace and advanced technology organization is seeking a Generative AI Software Engineer to join an innovative research and development team focused on transforming software development processes and accelerating next-generation technology initiatives. This is a hands‑on engineering role for someone passionate about Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Generative AI, whether through professional experience or significant personal projects.

The team is focused on exploring disruptive development methodologies, reducing technical debt, increasing system reusability, and enabling faster delivery of complex, safety‑critical software solutions. The ideal candidate is curious, highly collaborative, and driven to solve challenging problems through experimentation and innovation.

This position is 100% on‑site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa . Required Skills & Experience

• Strong software engineering and application development experience

• Proficiency working in Unix/Linux environments

• Strong Python development skills

• Experience contributing to the development of complex software systems

• Understanding of AI/ML fundamentals through academic research, personal projects, or professional experience

• Experience building or deploying Generative AI solutions

• Experience with LLM development frameworks such as LangChain, Haystack, or similar tools
