Job summary

Cotiviti is seeking an Generative AI Research Engineer Intern in Kentucky to conduct research on healthcare informatics and develop generative AI models and systems. The internship offers flexible hours (20–40 per week) across a semester to a year.

Responsibilities include researching AI trends, assisting with LLM development, and collaborating with cross-functional teams while participating in vendor and academic collaborations. Fall 2026 start is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed advanced degree in healthcare/tech, PhD preferred.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in AI and healthcare informatics research.
• Strong foundation in generative AI model development, architectures, and vector databases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct primary/secondary research on healthcare informatics tech with focus on Generative AI.
• Develop and improve generative AI models, architectures, databases, and systems for healthcare solutions.
• Collaborate with R&D, product management, and analysts to support projects.
