Job summary

Cotiviti is seeking an Intern-AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications using large language models and enterprise data systems. You will collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders to construct the architecture for AI agents, including context layers, data retrieval, and governance guardrails in regulated healthcare environments.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with structured data querying (SQL).
• Experience with LLM APIs and orchestration tools (LangChain, LlamaIndex).
• Version control and team code review basics (Git).
• Experience designing semantic layers or RAG pipelines and vector stores.
• Ability to assess data quality, freshness, and embeddings relevance.
• Capable of building data pipelines from live external sources.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications using LLMs in healthcare context.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to create context layers and governance guardrails.
• Develop knowledge graphs and retrieval systems for reliable AI agents.
• Support cross-functional partners through technical updates and briefings.
