Insight Global is seeking an AI Research Engineer – Generative AI & Foundation Models for a leading energy technology and research organization. This candidate will help bridge advanced AI research and industrial-scale deployment by designing, training, and optimizing next-generation Generative AI and Foundation Models.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in large-scale machine learning, LLM fine-tuning and alignment, and Python development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience or PhD in a related field.
• Expertise in Generative AI and Foundation Models.
• Proven experience with large-scale machine learning model training.
• Demonstrated experience in LLM post-training, alignment, and fine-tuning techniques.
• Advanced Python programming skills with writing, debugging and maintaining high-quality code.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative Generative AI and Foundation Model architectures for industrial applications.
• Execute large-scale machine learning training and model development workflows.
• Perform LLM post-training, alignment, optimization, and fine-tuning activities.
• Build scalable, reusable, and research-grade Python solutions.
• Develop and evaluate AI prototypes to solve real-world industrial challenges.
• Analyze experimental results and improve model performance.
• Collaborate with researchers, business stakeholders, and external partners.
• Translate cutting-edge AI research into practical industrial applications.
• Support AI initiatives across power generation, renewable energy, electric grid, and manufacturing domains.
