Job summary

Scovai in Bengaluru is seeking a Generative AI Engineering Director to lead end-to-end design, development, and productionisation of generative AI systems at scale, driving architecture for LLM-powered products, RAG pipelines, and multi-modal AI.

This senior role oversees training infrastructure, MLOps, GPU clusters, and responsible AI guardrails, partnering with product and business stakeholders to translate AI capabilities into commercial value and set engineering standards for evaluation,

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and productionisation of generative AI systems at scale.
• Oversee architecture and engineering of LLM-powered products, RAG pipelines, multi-modal AI systems, and agentic AI frameworks.
• Manage model training infrastructure, MLOps pipelines, and GPU cluster management across cloud platforms.
• Drive responsible AI practices including bias mitigation, model explainability, and safety guardrails.
• Build and scale AI engineering teams and partner with product and business stakeholders to translate AI capabilities into commercial value.
• Establish engineering standards for model evaluation, versioning, and deployment.

Job description

CONFIDENTIAL — We are conducting a confidential search for a Generative AI Engineering Director to lead the design, development, and productionisation of generative AI systems at scale. This is a high-impact, director-level opportunity based in Bengaluru on a hybrid model for a senior AI engineering leader who will own the end-to-end generative AI engineering roadmap, from foundational model development and fine-tuning through to production deployment and platform scaling.

In this role, you will lead the architecture and engineering of LLM-powered products, RAG pipelines, multi-modal AI systems, and agentic AI frameworks. You will oversee model training infrastructure, MLOps pipelines, and GPU cluster management across cloud platforms. You will drive responsible AI practices including bias mitigation, model explainability, and safety guardrails. You will build and scale world-class AI engineering teams, partner with product and business stakeholders to translate AI capabilities into commercial value, and establish engineering standards for model evaluation, versioning, and deployment.
