Job summary

Synectics for Management Decisions Inc is seeking a Generative AI & RAG Engineer with experience building large-scale enterprise data platforms for a government agency in the Washington DC metro area. This is a remote position, with periodic onsite reporting as required.

The role is contingent upon contract award. You will design and optimize retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, deploy secure AI agents, and integrate GenAI with policy, legal, and operational catalogs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years developing production-grade NLP architectures.
• Deep experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Milvus, Chroma).
• Clear understanding of LLM security vulnerabilities, prompt injection mitigation, and automated filtering safeguards.

Overview

Engineers secure, agentic AI pipelines and LLM solutions to search policy, legal, and operational catalogs securely.

Key Responsibilities

Additional Requirements

Must be able to pass a federal background investigation prior to starting work and maintain eligibility throughout the engagement.

Salary

Salary range for this position is $145,000.00 - $180,000.00

Salary: $145000.00 - $180000.00 per year

Government customer requires U.S. citizenship to work on the program. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
