Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Generative AI Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to bridge frontier AI products with production-grade reality for customers. You will embed with strategic accounts, code and deploy bespoke agentic solutions, and drive state-of-the-art AI integration in customer environments.

You will address data readiness, integration complexity, and state-management challenges to deliver enterprise-grade AI solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development using Python or similar coding languages.
• Experience building pipelines for structured and unstructured data using vector databases and RAG-like architectures for enterprise AI.
• Experience taking production-grade AI-driven solutions from conception to launch for customers.
• Experience architecting AI systems on cloud platforms (GCP).
• Experience leading technical discovery sessions with customers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a developer for complex AI applications, transitioning from rapid prototypes to production-grade agentic workflows that drive ROI.
• Architect and code the connective tissue between Google’s AI products and customer's live infrastructure, including APIs and data silos.
• Build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks for accuracy, safety, and latency.
• Identify repeatable field patterns and convert them into reusable modules or feature requests.
• Co-build with Customer Engineering teams to ensure long-term project success and adoption.
