Overview

We are looking for a driven and creative Engineer to join a large and innovative organization, driving advanced technologies to harness the potential of Generative AI and transform how their company interacts with its industry. A key focus for this team will be building scalable prompting frameworks, driving automation, and enabling reusable solutions that can be shared across multiple business units.

In this role, you will design, refine, and optimize prompts for large language models while collaborating closely with subject‑matter experts and end users. Your work will contribute to real software solutions that support both internal teams and external stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity to operate at the crossroads of cutting‑edge AI technology and essential industrial applications—directly influencing how the business evolves.

• Partner with subject‑matter experts to translate business needs into effective prompts for large language models.
• Create, test, and refine prompts across multiple use cases to ensure accurate, high‑quality outputs.
• Collaborate with software engineers to embed LLM capabilities into new or existing applications.
• Help build a scalable, reusable prompt‑engineering framework that supports cross‑team knowledge sharing.
• Collect and analyze user feedback to continually optimize prompt performance.
• Stay informed on emerging LLM technologies and contribute to evaluating tools, platforms, and methodologies.
• Document best practices, workflows, and results to support an evolving internal knowledge base.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with prompt engineering and familiarity with modern LLM platforms (e.g., GPT models, Hugging Face, etc.).
• Proficiency in Python or another language commonly used in AI/ML development.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Clear communicator capable of explaining complex concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Collaborative team player who can adapt to shifting priorities.
• Willingness to travel at least 2 weeks per year.
• Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
• Ability to work onsite at the office located in Niskayuna, NY.
