Job summary

IG Labs is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to lead AI-powered client engagements from discovery through deployment. This is a highly technical, client-facing role for engineers who thrive in ambiguity, build quickly, and deliver production-ready solutions that drive real business outcomes.

We are looking for professionals who can design scalable architectures, implement data pipelines, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive enterprise AI programs forward.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience shipping production systems.
• Strong system design, database, and API development experience.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML fundamentals including transformers and embeddings.
• Hands-on experience building production AI or agentic AI applications.
• Expertise in one or more areas: Full Stack Development, Analytics/BI.
• Experience working directly with clients or external stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

Required

• 5+ years of software engineering experience shipping production systems

• RAG, LLM orchestration, and AI evaluation frameworks
• Vector databases and semantic search
• Consulting, professional services, or startup experience
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, or financial services

Technical Foundation

• System Design: databases, APIs, distributed systems, and scalable architectures
• Machine Learning: transformers, embeddings, training, inference, and model evaluation
• Applied AI: agents, RAG, orchestration, memory, observability, and production deployment
