Scope of the Role

At Innodata, we’re partnering with the world’s leading technology companies to build the future of generative AI and large language models (LLMs). This part‑time, remote, flexible position is part of our Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Demand program. You’ll help LLMs learn the intricacies of language and reasoning, and you’ll have the freedom to work on projects that match your skills and interests.

What You’ll Own

• Rate or assess the performance of AI models or algorithms based on evaluative questions.
• Label elements of a piece of content rather than the content as a whole.
• Assign predefined categories or labels to items.
• Evaluate the perceived quality and/or appropriateness of content.
• Generate labels to advance understanding of a concept or trend.
• Create additional training data for machine learning models by transforming existing data (e.g., rotating images, paraphrasing text, altering audio).
• Review data to determine if a product feature works as intended per project guidelines.
• Label model outputs to identify content types such as clickbait, gaming, or branded content.
• Order or rank items based on preferences or criteria.
• Create prompts or questions for language model generation.
• Evaluate content relevance using a relevancy scale.
• Generate responses to prompts or questions with a language model or other AI system.
• Rewrite existing text to improve clarity or style while preserving meaning.
• Produce concise summaries of longer texts or data.
• Convert spoken language or audio into written text.
• Translate text or spoken language from one language to another.
• Gather and compile data to train, evaluate, or fine‑tune AI models, including text, images, videos, audio, or other digital content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a humanities specialization (advanced degrees preferred).
• Professional or expert level proficiency (C1/C2) in English.

The expected hourly salary range for this position is $15 per hour, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
